Two techniques, one palette: the Leanne's Fairy Palette brings together petal cakes and split cakes for colorful creations from start to finish! 🧚
It was designed by Leanne Courtney, an Australian face painter known for her vibrant color combinations. The three petal cakes handle base coats with a petal sponge and then outlines with a brush, while the six split cakes are made for one-stroke work.
Each paint works on its own for a quick design, or combines with the others for fuller pieces. The colors are water-activated with a gum arabic base, giving them a texture halfway between glycerin and wax.

How to use it?
- 💦 Spritz a little water on the paint and lightly dampen your sponge or brush
- 🌸 Petal cakes: lay down the base with a petal sponge, then pick up the same paint with a brush to draw the outlines
- ↕️ Split cakes: hold the palette with the color stripes running vertically, so excess water runs down the stripes without mixing the shades
- 🎨 Swipe back and forth over the split cake with a flat or angle brush until you get a creamy texture; a wide brush picks up every color, a narrower one loads just a few
- ✨ After use, spritz a little water and smooth the paint surfaces with a clean sponge to keep them neat, then let them air-dry before closing
How to remove it?
- 🧴 First massage with a makeup-removing balm or an oil (coconut, olive…), or a gentle liquid soap if you don't have any
- 💧 Wipe off with a cotton pad or microfiber cloth and cold or lukewarm water
- 🔁 If any traces remain, massage again with a little oil; some skin types stain a bit more than others
A sprinkle of pixie dust, and your creations take flight! ✨
