Mummies, witches, pumpkins, and swamp monsters: the Night Critters Palette has everything you need for goosebump-worthy face painting! 🎃
It was designed by Anna and Santi from the American shop Jest Paint. Its six split cakes in dark, high-contrast shades were made for Halloween, but they come in handy all year round for gothic or eerie creations.
Each one works on its own for a quick design, or combines with the others for fuller pieces. The colors are water-activated with a gum arabic base, giving them a texture halfway between glycerin and wax.

How to use it?
- 💦 Spritz a little water on the split cake and lightly dampen your flat or angle brush
- ↕️ Hold the palette with the color stripes running vertically: excess water runs down the stripes instead of mixing the shades
- 🎨 Swipe back and forth over the split cake until you get a creamy texture; use a wide brush to pick up every color, or a narrower one to load just a few
- ✨ After use, spritz a little water and smooth the surface with a clean sponge to keep it neat, then let it air-dry before closing
How to remove it?
- 🧴 First massage with a makeup-removing balm or an oil (coconut, olive…), or a gentle liquid soap if you don't have any
- 💧 Wipe off with a cotton pad or microfiber cloth and cold or lukewarm water
- 🔁 If any traces remain, massage again with a little oil; some skin types stain a bit more than others
Turn off the lights and let your creatures of the night creep out of the shadows! 🦇
