Syncap is a professional polyurethane-based cap plastic, perfect to encapsulate your silicone prosthetics, finish latex or PUR foams, and create bald caps that are thin, flexible, and durable. Soluble in acetone, it can be applied with a brush or airbrush for seamless, nearly invisible edges.
Why you’ll love it
- 🎯 Thin & elastic: forms an ultra-flexible film that moves naturally without cracking.
- 🧪 Versatile: ideal for silicone encapsulation, sealing foams, or creating bald caps.
- 💨 Airbrush application (after dilution) for smooth coats and clean transitions.
- 🔧 Full control: apply in thin layers, sand lightly if needed, then paint over.
- 🎬 Pro finish: blended edges, easy blending and durable for stage & film work.
How to use
- Shake well before each use to mix evenly.
- Prepare your piece (silicone or foam prosthetic), clean and dry.
- Apply in thin coats with a brush or airbrush (diluted with acetone). Let each layer flash off.
- Repeat 2–5 layers depending on the desired strength and finish.
- Paint over with alcohol-activated or cream colors.
- Removal: dissolve the film with acetone gently, protecting the skin.
Compatibility & dilution
- 🧴 Silicone encapsulation: creates the perfect barrier for clean, invisible edges.
- 🧽 Latex / PUR foams: provides an even seal before painting.
- 💧 Dilution: use clean, fresh acetone. Adjust the viscosity for brush or airbrush use.
