Hi, I'm Stéphanie, the face (and the brushes) behind Grimages.com! 🦊
Face painting has always been part of my life: as a little girl, my sister Pascaline and my mom were already my guinea pigs at every opportunity!
🎨 The spark
It all started again in 2014, when my daughter Violette asked me to paint her face for the school carnival. A few supplies, some online tutorials… and I was hooked all over again! Birthday parties for my kids and their friends followed one after another, and in November 2015, encouraged by my family and coworkers, I launched "Le Renard qui trace".
📚 Always learning
Self-taught at first, I went on to train at the International Face Painting School, then at workshops with big names in face painting: Nick Wolfe, Élodie Ternois, Annabel Hoogeveen, Cameron Garrett… Every encounter helped me grow, and that drive to keep learning has never left me. With demand steadily growing, I became a part-time freelancer in October 2018.
🛍️ The birth of Grimages.com
In 2020, in the middle of the Covid crisis, my friend MarieGrime, where I used to buy all my supplies, decided to sell her business. I jumped at the chance: in August 2020, Grimages.com was born! The shop grew fast, I moved into a bigger space where I can also teach my workshops, and in May 2022, I left my government job to devote myself 200% to my business.
💛 And today?
I run Grimages.com hand in hand with my husband, Sébastien. In our shop in Namur, Belgium, and on our webshop, you'll find everything you need for face painting, temporary tattoos, and special effects, carefully selected from the best brands. And because I can never really put my brushes down, I still paint at events and share my tips and tricks in workshops and private lessons.
